Job summary

Our client, a leading national freight company, seeks a Route and Logistics Planner to design, implement and optimize transportation routes from anywhere in Spain. You will leverage routing software, GPS data, and logistics principles to maximize efficiency and reduce costs while ensuring timely deliveries across the network.

The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and capable of working independently in a remote setting.

Qualifications

Experience in logistics planning, route optimization or transportation management.
Proficiency with route planning software and TMS.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret data.
Knowledge of Spanish transport regulations and remote work capability.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize daily, weekly, and monthly transportation routes.
Utilize routing software and GPS to create efficient delivery sequences.
Analyze transportation data to identify trends, inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborate with dispatchers, drivers and customer service teams for smooth execution.
Monitor real-time progress and adjust routes for issues.
Ensure routes comply with regulations, including hours of service.
Generate reports on mileage, fuel consumption and on-time delivery rates.
Maintain route information in the TMS.
Proactively identify risks and develop contingency plans.
