Grupo Alonso is seeking a Route and Logistics Planner for its Goods Transport division. This fully remote role allows you to design, optimize, and monitor transportation routes across Spain using advanced routing software and real-time data.

You will collaborate with dispatchers, drivers, and customer service to ensure on-time deliveries, minimize costs, and maintain compliance with hours of service and transportation laws.

Responsabilités

• Develop and optimize daily, weekly, and monthly transportation routes for our fleet.
• Utilize routing software and GPS to create efficient delivery sequences.
• Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with dispatchers, drivers and customer service to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor real-time delivery progress and adjust routes for unforeseen circumstances.
• Ensure planned routes comply with transportation regulations, including hours of service.
• Generate reports on route performance, mileage, and fuel use.
• Maintain accurate route information in the TMS.
• Identify risks and develop contingency plans for disruptions.

About the Role Our client, a leading national freight company, is actively seeking a skilled and motivated Route and Logistics Planner for our Goods Transport division. This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute to our success from anywhere within Spain. The core focus of this role is to design, implement, and continuously optimize transportation routes to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and ensure timely deliveries across our extensive network. You will leverage advanced routing software, real-time traffic data, and your deep understanding of logistics principles to create effective transportation plans. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, proactive, and possesses exceptional problem-solving abilities. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize daily, weekly, and monthly transportation routes for our fleet, considering factors such as delivery windows, vehicle capacity, and driver hours.
• Utilize specialized routing software and GPS technology to create the most efficient delivery sequences.
• Analyze transportation data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction and service improvement.
• Collaborate closely with dispatchers, drivers, and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution of routes and address any challenges promptly.
• Monitor real-time delivery progress and make necessary adjustments to routes in response to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., traffic, weather, vehicle issues).
• Ensure all planned routes comply with relevant transportation regulations, including hours of service.
• Generate reports on route performance, mileage, fuel consumption, and on-time delivery rates.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date route information in the transportation management system (TMS).
• Proactively identify potential risks and develop contingency plans for route disruptions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics planning, route optimization, or transportation management.
• Proficiency with route planning software and transportation management systems (TMS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent understanding of logistics operations and freight transportation principles.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with remote teams.
• Familiarity with Spanish transportation laws and regulations.
• High school diploma required; a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a significant advantage.
