Mercor is seeking a Private Equity Associate focused on the consumer and leisure sector for Europe. The role emphasizes building standalone financial models from source documents and delivering an editable Excel workbook with clear assumptions.

You will peer-review related models and work asynchronously to meet deadlines, leveraging prior IB/PE experience within Europe, including Paris deals where possible.

Formación

• 2–4 years total experience: ~2 years investment banking (Consumer / Retail or generalist M&A) followed by 1–2 years in mid-market or large-cap private equity.
• Currently or recently an Associate at a mid-market or large-cap PE fund with a consumer / leisure / multi-site services focus; Paris office or French deal experience preferred.
• Able to build a financial model from source documents, without a template.

Responsabilidades

• Build a working financial model of an assigned consumer / leisure transaction from a synthetic deal document pack.
• Deliver an editable Excel workbook with live formulas, source references, and stated assumptions.
• Peer-review two anonymized models from other contractors against a fixed set of criteria; provide a short written rationale and a completed review scorecard.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy and quality in model outputs.
