Jobgether is seeking an experienced P2P Node.js Engineer to advance high-performance peer-to-peer networking and distributed systems. The role is fully remote and internationally distributed, with a focus on reliable, scalable networks and innovative open-source contributions.

You will work on core P2P networking primitives using Node.js, exploring Kademlia, BitTorrent, libp2p, and hypercore, while addressing NAT traversal and secure protocols.

Formación

• Extensive experience with peer-to-peer networking and distributed systems.
• Strong JavaScript/Node.js development skills for high-performance networking apps.
• Experience with protocol design, serialization, and secure communications.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and strengthen core peer-to-peer networking and storage primitives using Node.js and JavaScript.
• Implement and optimize P2P protocols and networking mechanisms (Kademlia, BitTorrent, libp2p, hypercore).
• Develop high-performance networking code with focus on throughput, latency, and resource efficiency.
• Work with TCP/IP and UDP networking, NAT traversal in challenging environments.
• Design custom binary protocols and secure communication mechanisms.
• Apply cryptographic primitives to secure P2P communications.
• Profile and optimize networked systems to remove bottlenecks.
• Contribute to distributed systems for unreliable networks.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver robust, production-ready solutions.
