Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind) in Barcelona. You will oversee safe, efficient offshore wind asset operations from a remote hub, collaborating with site teams and engineers to diagnose issues and optimise performance.

The role involves monitoring alarms, supporting commissioning and service activities, and guiding field teams with structured technical input. Fluency in English and willingness to relocate to Barcelona are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on wind turbine/industrial systems experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and use diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities via remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvements.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work a rotating weekday shift with on-call weekend/public-holiday rotation.
