Job summary

The Eclipse Foundation invites applications for a remote Open Source Software Release Engineer. You will maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines, supporting two large CI systems and the global developer community.

You will collaborate with IT and project teams, drive DevOps practices, and contribute to observability initiatives while ensuring secure, scalable release processes across Europe and beyond.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and managing CI services (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of build systems such as Maven, Gradle and CMake.
• Linux system administration and scripting (Bash preferred).
• Familiarity with IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform) and DevOps tooling.
• Git distributed version control and collaboration on GitHub/GitLab.

Responsibilities

• Support and operate CI systems (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Collaborate with community members via public channels to support CI/CD needs.
• Advocate for DevOps mindset with efficiency, security and sustainability.
• Contribute to Observability initiatives and metrics tooling.
• Help integrate new technologies and tools for maintainability.
