Job summary

Jobgether seeks a Lead Tech SRE based in Spain to own architecture, delivery, and continuous improvement of a cloud orchestration platform. This fully remote role leads a small SRE team while influencing infrastructure design, automation, and incident response.

You will build and scale customer environments on Google Cloud, defining the technical roadmap, observability, and cloud cost optimization as the platform moves toward GA. Collaboration with CTO and security teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in SRE/platform/infrastructure engineering.
• Experience leading technical direction for a team or platform for at least 2 years.
• Deep production Kubernetes expertise, including upgrades, networking, and resource allocation.
• Hands-on GCP experience focusing on GKE, IAM, VPC, private clusters, and managed services.
• Expert Terraform skills and reusable module design for multiple environments.
• Ability to define architecture, write specs, and translate to executable plans.
• Experience with on-call, incident management, postmortems, and reliability improvements.
• Fluent English; able to work in a fully remote, international environment.

Responsibilities

• Own target architecture for a managed cloud platform on GCP.
• Define roadmap and steer beta to GA while balancing isolation and cost.
• Write specs, ADRs, and RFCs explaining trade-offs.
• Define SLOs and error budgets for services and tiers.
• Lead a three-person team, break down work, and remove blockers.
• Set engineering standards for Terraform modules, Helm charts, and GitOps.
