Your Role

The Market Operations Specialist will be responsible for building the operational foundation of new markets, including recruiting the local sales team, establishing processes, and ensuring smooth operations. This role includes a strong focus on early-stage sales, working directly with customers and supporting the local team to achieve commercial success. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Global Expansion and other team members to ensure every new market is set up to thrive.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and implement tailored go-to-market strategies for new regions.
  • Oversee the operational setup, including local processes, regulatory compliance, and market-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams to localize RoomPriceGenie’s offering for new markets.

Team Hiring & Onboarding :

  • Recruit and onboard, in alignment with the dedicated team, the local sales team, including a Sales Development Representative (SDR), Sales Manager, and Business Development Manager.
  • Ensure new hires are aligned with the company’s goals and equipped with the tools and training to succeed.
  • Support early-stage sales efforts, including identifying high-potential prospects, conducting customer demos, and closing initial deals.
  • Mentor and guide the local team during the first stages of market entry to build confidence and momentum.

Operations Management :

  • Establish and document workflows, processes, and tools to support market growth.
  • Identify and onboard local partners and vendors critical to the market's success.

Scaling & Transition :

  • Build scalable systems and structures to enable sustained market growth.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Global Expansion to transition the market to the core sales organization.

Key Skills & Qualifications :

  • C2-level English proficiency : Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interactions with partners and internal teams.
  • Leadership experience : 5+ years managing teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in setting up operations or launching products in new markets (preferably in SaaS or hospitality tech).
  • Experience with recruiting and managing sales teams in new regions.
  • Sales experience, including prospecting, customer engagement, and deal closure.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple market launches.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset : A strong focus on understanding client needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Adaptable Team Player : Flexible and comfortable in dynamic environments, with strong collaboration skills to work effectively across teams and partners.
  • Proactive Problem-Solver : The ability to anticipate challenges and develop innovative solutions to support market growth and success.

  • Multi-language skills : Proficiency in additional languages for supporting RoomPriceGenie’s global partner network.
