Reboot Monkey is seeking a Freelance Data Center Technician to deliver on-demand support for our global data centers. You will install, configure, and maintain servers and networking gear, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure uptime while working independently with remote teams.

The role requires 3+ years in data center ops, experience with Cisco/Juniper devices, Windows and Linux admin, and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).

Formación

• 3+ years of data center operations experience, with freelance focus.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper devices.
• Strong proficiency in Windows and Linux system management.
• Solid networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, VLANs.
• Experience with virtualization: VMware or Hyper-V is a plus.
• Valid certifications like CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS, or CompTIA Linux+ desirable.
• Willingness to travel and work outside regular hours.

Responsabilidades

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networking equipment and hardware to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor data center operations remotely and on-site; diagnose issues to minimize downtime.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking devices (Cisco/Juniper) per standards.
• Manage Linux and Windows systems; apply updates and security patches.
• Document installations, repairs, and performance; report to remote team.
• Implement and maintain data center security protocols.
• Collaborate with remote IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders on projects.
