Job summary

Notabene, a remote‑first company in Europe, seeks a commercially minded Commercial Counsel to support our General Counsel. You will manage international commercial transactions with banks and multinational clients, draft and negotiate complex agreements, and help scale our legal operations and AI capabilities.

The role requires a fully qualified lawyer in an EU jurisdiction with 3–5 years post‑qualification experience, strong English drafting skills, and a proven ability to navigate cross‑border

Qualifications

• Fluent written and spoken English with experience drafting complex legal docs in English.
• 3–5 years post-qualification experience as a lawyer, ideally in top law firms or tech environments.
• Experience leading end‑to‑end negotiations for enterprise technology agreements.
• Strong understanding of European regulatory frameworks relevant to tech and outsourcing.
• Commercially minded with ability to balance growth and legal risk.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex SaaS, partnership, and other commercial agreements including DPAs and regulatory addenda.
• Support the General Counsel in international commercial negotiations and independently manage assigned contracts.
• Implement AI-powered legal tools and improve contracting workflows and legal operations.
• Collaborate with Security and Engineering to ensure contracts reflect Notabene’s tech and security controls.
• Advise Sales, Customer Success, and other teams on commercial legal matters and provide templates and documents.
