Booksy is seeking an Associate Data Engineering Manager to lead a small team of 2–4 data engineers while remaining technically hands-on. This role reports to the Head of Data Engineering in Data & Analytics – Data Engineering and balances team leadership with delivering robust data pipelines on Google Cloud BigQuery.

The candidate will design and review dbt models, ensure data reliability, and drive delivery through SQL and Python.

Formación

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, with some leadership experience (e.g., technical lead, mentoring).
• Experience designing and reviewing production-level dbt models and data pipelines on Google Cloud BigQuery.
• Expert-level SQL skills and strong Python scripting for pipeline orchestration (Airflow or Cloud Composer).
• Practical experience running agile ways of working and ownership of delivery commitments.
• Professional English language skills (B2 level or higher).

Responsabilidades

• Lead a small team, mentoring and guiding team members.
• Spending roughly half of your time supporting team growth, running agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives, and owning quarterly OKRs.
• Spending the other half designing, building, and reviewing high-quality dbt models and data pipelines on Google Cloud BigQuery to ensure data reliability and performance.
