Volkswagen Group Services, part of the Volkswagen Digital:Hub in Spain, seeks a data engineer to design and build scalable data pipelines and contribute to a growing data platform in Valencia.

You will work in a startup-like environment, collaborating with product and engineering to apply best practices in data modeling, quality, and cloud-native DevOps. The role offers fully remote work with optional office; salary range 45,000–75,000€ and a team bonus. English required; Spanish/German a plus.

Formación

• Degree in CS or data engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in data engineering with streaming/batch pipelines.
• Strong Python and/or Kotlin/Java.
• Experience with Kafka and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, Glue, EventBridge, S3, CDK).
• Data modeling for document-oriented databases.
• CI/CD and DevOps in cloud-native environments.
• Agile/SAFe experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication; English fluent; Spanish/German a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines ingesting data from external systems.
• Define transformation logic ensuring data quality and schema alignment.
• Analyze interfaces to inform integration design and upstream changes.
• Design and maintain document-oriented data models and visualizations.
• Implement validation, monitoring, and alerting for data reliability.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into data solutions.
