Mercedes-Benz Group Services Madrid is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Driven Pricing initiative in Aftersales. You will design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines, collaborating with Data Scientists to ensure data quality and support advanced analytics.

We value 3–5 years of data engineering experience, strong SQL, and hands-on AWS or cloud experience. This role emphasizes data integration, security and performance optimization in an international environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of Big Data processing, Spark and Python/Java/Scala.
• Strong SQL skills including joins, group by, subqueries and temp tables.
• Experience with AWS (preferred) or other cloud platforms such as Azure/Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with data orchestration tools like Airflow, AWS Step Functions or similar.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Git Actions, Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Knowledge of version control platforms like Git or Bitbucket.

At Mercedes-Benz Group Services Madrid, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Driven Pricing project within the Aftersales area. The selected person will design, build and maintain scalable data processing pipelines, working closely with Data Scientists to ensure data integration, data quality and support advanced analytics.

• Implement and manage cloud data storage systems in AWS.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and provide suitable technical solutions.
• Develop and use data quality frameworks to ensure data integrity and security.
• Automate data ingestion, cleaning and transformation processes.
• Monitor the performance of data systems and troubleshoot issues when needed.
• Optimize performance and scalability of Big Data solutions.
• Apply strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in daily work.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering or similar technical roles.
• Strong knowledge of Big Data processing, especially Spark and Python, Java or Scala.
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, group by, subqueries and temporary tables.
• Experience with AWS (preferred) or other major cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as AWS Step Functions, Azure Data Factory, Airflow or similar.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Git Actions, Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Knowledge of version control platforms such as Git or Bitbucket.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of visualization tools such as Power BI or Grafana.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Cloud or Big Data certifications.
• Previous experience in an international work environment.
• Fluent English (reading, writing and conversation).
