Pearl Abyss, the company behind the highly acclaimed MMORPG Black Desert Online (BDO), is seeking a high-performing, innovative, results-oriented, and customer-obsessed German-speaking Remote Customer Experience Specialist to help expand our gaming reach to millions of customers across all screens (PC, Mobile, Console, etc.) in Europe, specifically Germany.

As a Remote Customer Experience Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and handling customer issues, collecting player feedback, and ensuring high-quality service for our live service. Your role involves proactively interacting with players, acting as a frontline customer-focused representative—working closely with game masters and community managers.

You will work with Pearl Abyss on a freelance basis, joining a dedicated team across multiple communities, platforms, and games such as Black Desert and upcoming releases like Crimson Desert, DokeV, and PLAN 8. This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to help ensure all Pearl Abyss titles meet European goals.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure excellent customer service through timely and accurate handling of support inquiries via our Support Center.
  2. Review customer support tickets, investigate reported issues, and take necessary actions.
  3. Manage day-to-day tasks for the game's live service using internal operation tools.
  4. Monitor and report on live-service issues and player feedback.
  5. Coordinate with other Customer Experience Specialists, Game Masters, and Community Managers to gather feedback for game improvements.
  6. Stay updated on the latest game updates to support players effectively.
  7. Investigate and document game exploits, bugs, and technical issues.
Requirements:
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in German.
  • High proficiency in English.
  • Experience or interactions with gaming communities.
  • Extensive knowledge and gameplay experience of MMORPGs.
  • Technical knowledge related to online game live services.
  • Strong customer service ethic and interpersonal skills.
  • Creativity, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
  • Professional demeanor with strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work on a freelance contract basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Extensive MMORPG gameplay experience.
  • Experience in high-volume customer contact environments.
