Job summary

Ras Interim is seeking a Remote Medical Equipment Support and Maintenance Technician to provide high-level remote technical support for sophisticated medical devices used by healthcare facilities.

Based in or near Salamanca, Castile and León, ES, you will be the primary contact for troubleshooting complex equipment issues, guiding field service engineers and clinicians, and ensuring optimal device functionality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electronics Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience maintaining and supporting medical equipment.
• Strong understanding of electronic, mechanical, and software components in medical devices.
• Experience interpreting technical schematics and using diagnostic tools.
• Ability to work remotely with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various medical devices.
• Assist on-site field service engineers and clinical staff with complex diagnostic procedures and repairs.
• Analyze equipment performance data and error logs to identify root causes of issues.
• Guide users through standard operating procedures and basic troubleshooting steps.
• Document all support activities, resolutions, and equipment status accurately.
• Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to provide feedback on product performance and potential improvements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (FDA, CE) and internal quality management systems.
• Develop and update technical documentation, including user manuals and troubleshooting guides.
• Monitor equipment performance trends and proactively identify potential failure points.
• Respond effectively to critical equipment issues to minimize disruption to healthcare services.
