Job summary

Partner Company in Spain is seeking a Backend QA Engineer to own software quality across a high-traffic backend platform. You will combine manual testing with automated test development using TypeScript and Playwright to validate complex transactions, API integrations, and event-driven workflows.

Work remotely within Europe with cross-functional collaboration, build automated regression suites, and contribute to QA process improvements as the platform scales.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in manual and automated software testing.
• Experience in iGaming industry.
• TypeScript and Playwright for automated tests.
• API testing with Postman; test management tools like TestRail/Zephyr.
• Docker to run services locally.
• Agile/Scrum and STLC knowledge.
• Good English; remote collaboration.
• Willingness for manual testing when needed.
• Go knowledge is a plus.
• Basic SQL for data validation.

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive test cases from requirements and user stories.
• Perform end-to-end testing of transaction lifecycles and APIs.
• Identify edge cases and potential risks not covered by requirements.
• Develop and maintain automated regression suites with TypeScript/Playwright.
• Automate API testing and validate REST/gRPC endpoints.
• Test event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS.
• Execute regression testing after deployments; mix automated/manual as needed.
• Document, reproduce, and track defects in Jira.
