Job summary

Jobgether in Spain is seeking a Backend Engineer, Solving to build core systems powering cross-chain transactions, including quotes, routing, and settlement across on-chain and off-chain liquidity. You will work mainly with TypeScript and Node.js on DeFi infrastructure, integrating with major DEXs and collaborating with protocol engineers.

This high-impact role offers ownership and technical autonomy to shape scalable, reliable backend systems for cross-chain payments and decentralized liquidity

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineering experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with on-chain protocols, including querying DEX quotes and swap calldata.
• Solid understanding of DeFi fundamentals (AMMs, liquidity pools, MEV).
• Experience designing multi-stage processing pipelines (detection, pricing, execution, settlement).
• Focus on reliability, observability, and robust error handling.
• Ownership and autonomy to drive projects from concept to production.
• Effective communication across remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve the core quote-generation and pricing engine with on-chain price feeds and dynamic fees.
• Develop integrations with DEXs and aggregators (1inch, LiFi, Uniswap) including calldata and multi-hop routing.
• Own end-to-end transaction pipelines from detection to settlement.
• Improve reliability and observability with monitoring and incident triage (Datadog).
• Investigate and resolve execution failures and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with protocol engineers to integrate new settlement primitives.
• Develop features for payment use cases including fixed pricing for major assets.
• Take ownership of projects from design to deployment and optimization.
• Contribute to backend architecture and tooling for scalable cross-chain infrastructure.
