Jobgether is seeking a Backend Engineer, Core APIs to join a fully remote engineering team in Spain. You will design and scale high-performance backend systems, build reliable APIs, and work across Go and Node.js to support real-time data processing.

You will mentor teammates, handle on-call duties, and collaborate with globally distributed engineers to improve backend architecture and scalability.

Formación

• 2+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong Go and/or Node.js experience with backend APIs.
• Experience designing scalable backend systems and microservices.
• Strong SQL skills with DynamoDB, Redis, or Elasticsearch knowledge.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and development tooling.
• Ability to work independently in a distributed, asynchronous team.
• Degree in CS/Engineering or related field (advantage).
• Terraform or AWS CloudFormation experience is a plus.
• Experience with TypeScript, Express, dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift or Databricks is beneficial.
• Datadog observability and modern logging practices preferred.
• Docker, Kubernetes knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience contributing to open-source projects or async collaboration is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend systems for real-time data and high-performance web services.
• Build, maintain, and improve APIs, microservices, and backend infrastructure with reliability and performance.
• Develop with Go and/or Node.js while collaborating across services to deliver robust backend solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate components and ensure efficient operation at scale.
• Investigate complex features with root-cause analysis, hypotheses, experiments, and data-driven evaluation.
• Conduct performance tuning, debugging, testing, and reliability improvements across backends.
• Contribute to data-driven engineering culture by sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Own engineering work from concept through deployment and iteration.
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation with advance scheduling and balanced coverage.
• Mentor junior developers and support team growth.
