Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Electrical Systems Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and test vehicle electrical systems from a remote-friendly location. You will work on power distribution, sensor integration, wiring harnesses, and vehicle networking with a global team.

The ideal candidate has a degree in electrical/automotive engineering and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with hands-on CAD software skills (EPLAN, Zuken E3.series) and knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet protocols.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in automotive electrical system design and development.
Proficiency in electrical CAD software (EPLAN, Zuken E3.series) and schematic capture tools.
Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet).
Experience with power electronics, battery management systems, and charging systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design and develop automotive electrical architectures, including power distribution, lighting, and sensor systems.
Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness designs using appropriate software tools.
Integrate electrical components and systems, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
Specify and select electrical components, considering performance, cost, and reliability requirements.
Conduct system-level testing and validation of electrical systems to ensure compliance with specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues during development, validation, and production phases.
Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
Stay abreast of new technologies and trends in automotive electrical systems, such as ADAS and vehicle networking.
Ensure designs meet all relevant automotive standards and regulations.
