Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Electrical Systems Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and test vehicle electrical systems from a remote-friendly location. You will work on power distribution, sensor integration, wiring harnesses, and vehicle networking with a global team.

The ideal candidate has a degree in electrical/automotive engineering and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with hands-on CAD software skills (EPLAN, Zuken E3.series) and knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in automotive electrical system design and development.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software (EPLAN, Zuken E3.series) and schematic capture tools.
• Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet).
• Experience with power electronics, battery management systems, and charging systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive electrical architectures, including power distribution, lighting, and sensor systems.
• Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness designs using appropriate software tools.
• Integrate electrical components and systems, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
• Specify and select electrical components, considering performance, cost, and reliability requirements.
• Conduct system-level testing and validation of electrical systems to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues during development, validation, and production phases.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and trends in automotive electrical systems, such as ADAS and vehicle networking.
• Ensure designs meet all relevant automotive standards and regulations.
