Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an AI Tooling Engineer based in Spain to build and scale an internal AI platform. You will own the full development lifecycle, from understanding user needs to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Work with Python, LangGraph, LLM APIs, and MCP to deliver production-ready AI agents and integrations across a globally distributed team. You will design secure, scalable cloud applications, optimize AI performance and costs, and ensure robust access controls.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience shipping production software in Python and relational databases.
• Proven track record deploying at least one production AI agent with LangGraph used by real users.
• Hands-on experience with AI agent development including tool calling, retrieval, embeddings, prompts and context design.
• Experience with LLM APIs from major providers, including token management and cost optimization.
• Experience with MCP or similar tool protocols as both server and client.
• Strong understanding of AI evaluation, testing, and performance monitoring.
• Familiarity with tracing/observability tools (Langfuse or equivalents).
• Experience integrating APIs and data sources including SaaS, SQL databases, and data warehouses.
• Hands-on cloud infrastructure experience (GCP/AWS), containers, IAM, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Senior Engineer to design, develop, and deploy platform capabilities from concept to production.
• Integrate internal systems and SaaS apps via APIs, data models, and access controls.
• Build AI agents and MCP servers enabling organization-wide interactions with internal systems.
• Refine retrieval workflows, tool calling, embeddings, prompts, and context management.
• Establish AI quality standards with evaluation datasets, benchmarks, and regression tests.
• Monitor performance and costs, optimize models, prompts, and workflows.
• Troubleshoot production issues and incorporate user feedback for improvements.
• Turn proofs of concept into secure, scalable cloud apps with proper IAM and deployment processes.
• Maintain code quality with automated tests, reviews, and clear specs.
• Contribute to company-wide AI tooling initiatives and usage/cost tracking.
