Job summary

Ventus Executive Solutions seeks an Advanced Reactor Systems Engineer to support FOAK nuclear and mobile microreactor programs. You will be the primary technical interface for vendor designs, performing systems engineering, program management, and design integration to deliver actionable assessments to government leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• Significant experience in nuclear power systems, naval nuclear propulsion, advanced reactor programs, or similar high-reliability systems.
• Systems engineering and/or technical program management experience.
• Experience with requirements management, system integration, technical risk assessment, design evaluation, or related activities.
• Experience interfacing with, overseeing, or managing technical vendors in complex programs.
• Ability to own complex, ambiguous assignments and drive to completion with minimal supervision.
• Ability to develop clear assessments and briefings for senior government leadership.
• Experience coordinating across government, industry partners, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical interface for vendor-proposed microreactor/advanced reactor designs.
• Perform hands-on systems engineering, technical program management, design integration, and risk assessment.
• Provide stakeholder communications, briefings, and technical reports to leadership.
• Coordinate across government organizations and external subject-matter experts to maintain program momentum.
• Support FOAK reactor programs with vendor oversight and interface management.
