Job Title : Release Manager / DevOps Engineer - Remote from Portugal or Spain

Location : Remote working - Must be based in Portugal or Spain

Salary / Rate : Up to €368 a day

Start Date : September 2025

Job Type : 6-Month Contract (With Scope to Extend)

Company Introduction

We are looking for an experienced Release Manager / DevOps Engineer to join our client in the IT Services and IT Consulting industry.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate for this role must be based in Portugal or Spain
• Plan, coordinate, design, develop (build pipeline and Azure Infra) and oversee the deployment of software releases across the teams.
• Ensure releases are delivered smoothly, reliably; act as a bridge between development, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Focus on flow efficiency, risk mitigation, and governance, while enabling continuous delivery and incremental value delivery through the value stream.
• In-depth understanding (Design and Build) Azure Infra, using ARM Templates (Bicep)
• Willing to get hands-on and develop code to deploy Infra as code or build release pipelines
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, align release plans with business priorities.
• Define release timelines, and dependencies across teams.
• Review release documentation and traceability for audits.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to release activities.
• Develop contingency plans for failed deployments or rollbacks.
• Promote automation of release tasks to improve speed and reliability.
• Manages change management for the maintenance release.
• Serve as the point of contact for release-related communications.
• Keep stakeholders informed of release status, issues, and outcomes.
• Monitor releases post-deployment to ensure stability and performance.
• Gather feedback from users and teams to improve future releases.
• Drive improvements in release processes and tooling.
