Formación

The European regulatory country network team of Ecolab plays a key role in ensuring that what we sell in each country is sold in accordance with regulations. We work closely with government and trade associations to ensure that changing regulatory landscape benefits our industry and our customers. Our expertise helps provide a customer advantage and protects our brand.

Now we are currently looking for a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our European Regulatory Affairs Country Network team based in the Spanish headquarters in Barcelona and responsible for product legal compliance in Spain and Portugal. You will be working in an international team with more than 20 different nationalities and diverse country cultures.

Your main responsibilities will be :

  • Responsible for product compliance in Spain and Portugal
  • Perform local product registrations for regulated products like biocides and medical devices
  • Actively participate on behalf of Ecolab in federation meetings. Contribute with the Ecolab perspective.
  • First contact for authorities connected with product compliance in Spain and Portugal. Manage local authority relations and inspections.
  • Support customers on RA related topics.
  • Provide regulatory expertise and trainings to country businesses.
  • Act as connection point for the Spanish and Portuguese business to the European Ecolab Regulatory Affairs (RA) experts on EU regulations such as Product Safety, Transport Classification, Trade Compliance, and Biocides Regulation.
  • Support the implementation of strategies required through legislative changes in the Spanish organisation by providing regulatory country guidance and support.
  • Manage and coordinate local and EU RA related projects to ensure timely and successful implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align Spanish regulatory requirements and strategies with business objectives.

What you’ll need :

  • Decree in natural sciences or technical disciplines (e.g. chemistry, biology, biotechnology..) or related disciplines.
  • Spanish speaker and fluent in English with good written and verbal communication skills (able to work 100% in English).
  • Ideally 4 or more years of experience in regulatory affairs, preferred especially CLP, biocide or sustainability related regulations.
  • Ability to analyse regulatory data and provide actionable insights.
  • Work independently, agile, results-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Enjoys working in multinational teams.
  • Structured / organized at work
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic, and rapidly growing environment.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
