Formación

  • 4+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, ideally CLP or biocides.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English; able to work 100% in English.
  • Experience in project management is a plus.

The European regulatory country network team of Ecolab plays a key role in ensuring that what we sell in each country complies with regulations. We work closely with government and trade associations to navigate the changing regulatory landscape, benefiting our industry and customers. Our expertise provides a competitive advantage and protects our brand.

We are currently seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our European Regulatory Affairs Country Network team, based at our headquarters in Barcelona, responsible for product legal compliance in Spain and Portugal. You will be part of an international team comprising over 20 nationalities and diverse cultures.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring product compliance in Spain and Portugal
  • Managing local product registrations for regulated products such as biocides and medical devices
  • Representing Ecolab at federation meetings and contributing insights
  • Serving as the primary contact for authorities regarding product compliance in Spain and Portugal, managing relations and inspections
  • Supporting customers on regulatory affairs topics
  • Providing regulatory expertise and training to country teams
  • Acting as the liaison for Spanish and Portuguese businesses to European Ecolab Regulatory Affairs experts on EU regulations, including Product Safety, Transport Classification, Trade Compliance, and Biocides Regulation
  • Supporting legislative change implementation within the Spanish organization by providing regulatory guidance
  • Managing local and EU regulatory projects to ensure timely execution
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align regulatory strategies with business goals

Qualifications required:

  • Degree in natural sciences, technical disciplines (e.g., chemistry, biology, biotechnology), or related fields
  • Fluency in Spanish and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills (ability to work entirely in English)
  • At least 4 years of experience in regulatory affairs, preferably in CLP, biocides, or sustainability regulations
  • Ability to analyze regulatory data and derive actionable insights
  • Independent, agile, results-driven, and self-motivated work style
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enjoys working in multinational teams
  • Organized and structured in approach
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic, and growing environment
  • Project management experience is advantageous
