Bolton is seeking a Regulatory Manager to join our Quality Assurance Department in O'Grove, Spain.

The role focuses on ensuring compliance with EU/international food laws, validating labels and claims, and supporting audits and cross-functional launches. Strong SAP and QlikSense skills, plus Spanish and English proficiency, are required. Fluency in Italian or French is a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Marine Sciences, or related field.
• Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure products, packaging, and operations meet EU/international food laws and sustainability standards.
• Validate multilingual labels, ingredients, and marketing claims to minimize compliance risks.
• Monitor changes in international legislation and co-manage food fraud control with QA Manager.
• Partner with R&D, Sourcing, and Marketing on product launches, reformulations, and market expansions.
• Act as main liaison with health authorities and certification bodies during audits.
• Approve technical specifications and drive documentation digitalization.

We are looking for a Regulatory Manager to join our Quality Assurance Department in our Business Unit based in O'Grove, Spain.

How you make the difference:

• The position will ensure products, packaging, and operations meet global food laws and sustainability standards like MSC and Dolphin Safe.
• Validate multilingual labels, ingredients, and marketing claims to minimize compliance risks.
• Monitor changes in international legislation, assess business impacts, and co-manage food fraud control.
• Partner with R&D, Sourcing, and Marketing on product launches, reformulations, and market expansions.
• Act as the main contact for health authorities and certification bodies during internal and external audits.

How your agenda looks like:

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure products, ingredients, and packaging comply with EU/international food laws, import/export rules, and sustainability standards (MSC, Dolphin Safe).
• Label & Claims Validation: Review and approve multilingual labels, ingredient lists, allergens, and nutritional/marketing claims to minimize legal risks.
• Regulatory Intelligence: Monitor changing food and environmental legislation, assess business impacts, and co-manage food fraud control with the QA Manager.
• Cross-Functional Support: Partner with R&D, Sourcing, and Marketing on product launches, reformulations, supplier qualification, and market expansions.
• Audits & Stakeholder Relations: Act as the main liaison with health authorities and certification bodies; support official, internal, and client audits.
• Data & System Management: Approve technical specifications, maintain compliance databases, and drive documentation digitalization.

What makes you a great fit:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Marine Sciences, or a related field within the industry.
• Postgraduate Education: Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in quality control laboratories or quality assurance departments within the food industry.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of SAP (R/3, HANA) and analytical tools such as QlikSense. (pc tools and some special functional knowledge)
• Language: Proficiency in Spanish and very high level of English, both spoken and written.
• Knowledge of Italian and French is a plus.
