Regulatory Affairs Specialist (Full-time, Permanent)

What does a Regulatory Affairs Specialist do at Prinova?

Provide in-depth reviews of regulatory matters concerning food, feed supplements, and related activities within the EU, UK, and outside the EU for Prinova Europe. Responsibilities include providing training, troubleshooting, liaising with authorities, consultants, and professional bodies on regulatory matters, and participating in compliance initiatives.

What to expect?

  • Ensure compliance with food and feed safety, quality, and defense standards, including UK, EU, and GFSI (BRC), Organic, Halal, FAMI QS, and Kosher requirements.
  • Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on the business, updating compliance protocols as needed.
  • Support regulatory strategies for existing and new ingredients/products in the UK and EU, covering allergens, REACH, Novel Food, Packaging, Food Contact Materials, Food Law, Labeling, Feed Laws, Residues, Contaminants, and Botanical ingredients.
  • Review product compliance for quality assurance, including novel food status, claims, and labeling.
  • Coordinate with authorities for authorizations and licenses.
  • Maintain and support the Prinova Specification documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provide regulatory training to European quality and technical teams.
  • Support QA tasks as needed.
  • Assist the commercial and marketing teams to verify regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in crisis and incident management as part of the team.

  • 5+ years of technical or regulatory experience in food, feed, fine chemicals, pharmaceutical ingredients, or chemical distribution.
  • Highly analytical, organized, with keen attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving skills and systematic approach.
  • Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively.
  • Team player capable of working professionally with all levels of staff.
  • Proficiency in business English.
  • Self-motivated with strong administrative skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
