We are looking for a Regulatory Affairs Manager for the Quality & Environmental Team, who will report to the Quality & Environmental Director. In this role, you will be part of a growing team in a newly created position and collaborate with the other departments (Industrial, Sustainability, Purchasing, Marketing, R&D & Legal).

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory Manager to oversee and navigate the complex landscape of regulatory compliance in the pet food industry. The ideal candidate will be open to acquiring a deep understanding of regulatory requirements after an overlap period and handover with the current Regulatory Manager, and will excel in building and maintaining external relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations.

What you will do

  • Design and implement the Regulatory Cluster Roadmap for all operating countries & brands, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess impacts of new regulations to support project management and decision-making.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging trends and regulatory subjects impacting the business (risks & opportunities).
  • Develop and adapt regulatory strategies aligned with business objectives and context.
  • Support legal department in managing strategic disputes, crises, and conflicts with regulatory authorities and stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and self-regulatory groups.
  • Provide regulatory guidance from product conception through artwork approval, ensuring compliance during the design phase.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate compliance considerations into product development.
  • Align R&D, Quality Assurance, and Marketing teams with regulatory frameworks and business goals.
  • Monitor ingredients regulatory landscape according to emerging business needs.
  • Achievement of strategic regulatory objectives.
  • Provision of legal & regulatory strategic advice.
  • Definition and implementation of the regulatory cluster roadmap.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and claims regulations.
  • Develop tools and procedures for labeling, claim validation, and advertising management.
  • Maintain high expertise and empowerment within the regulatory team.

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience in regulatory affairs, ideally with more than 5 years in pet food, pharmaceuticals, or human food industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in food science, biology, chemistry, veterinary science, or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Field-specific knowledge : Competitors, litigation, food science, product law regulations.
