Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Regional Sales Manager North West Europe / Iberia to join our team in Madrid, Spain.
Job Summary
The Regional Sales Manager will maximise the exposure of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts (WHR) franchised hotels of all brands within their territory with a focus on developing sales opportunities, customer account management, and driving contribution to the hotels within the region(s) in which they are located and/or allocated.
The region is North West Europe / Iberia with a focus on Iberia and the UK. They will be tasked with creating opportunities to manage and develop existing National and Regional Accounts whilst focusing equally on developing new business accounts across all market segments to drive contribution to a defined set of hotels.
This position requires a sales approach acting in partnership with all their clients and their travel intermediaries, thereby delivering incremental revenue and increased market share for the hotels, franchise partners, and WHR.
As a Regional Sales Manager, they will work to meet or exceed agreed annual revenue goals by taking sole responsibility for their portfolio of clients by:
- Devising, instigating, and implementing sales plans for their top clients.
- Negotiating and contracting rates for key clients of all segments primarily within the designated region of WHR globally.
- Managing relevant group leads and RFP solicitations into WHR properties through our Wyndham Sales Systems.
- Success will ultimately be based on consumed revenues (room night production) along with RFP acceptances, with other appropriate metrics used to set targets.
- A monthly average of 25+ sales appointments or calls will also be maintained.
Responsibilities
Sales Account Management & New Business Development
- In conjunction with participating hotels, identify and secure new accounts within the agreed territory. Build and deploy robust pipeline plans with relevant revenue and RN targets, by segment:
- Corporate Transient Business (corporate RFP & TMC)
- Group / MICE Business (GSO Sales Leads)
- Leisure groups & FIT (Tour Operators & Agencies)
- Develop strategic partnerships with key leisure Tour Operators, Corporate Clients, Travel Agencies, and MICE Companies based on territory to drive business to these hotels. Devise and deliver strategies and activities to maximize hotel revenue and overall contribution to EMEA targets.
Franchisee Relations
- Work diligently with franchise and management partners to understand their needs and product offerings, visiting all hotels in the territory, and educating them on WHR Commercial Tools.
Internal Relations & Systems
- Collaborate with colleagues across WHR units to ensure continued success. Support colleagues requiring assistance and utilize available business tools and systems to achieve goals.
Industry Participation
- Represent WHR at industry events such as Conferences and Trade Shows. Become an active member of relevant industry associations and institutions.
Self-Development
- Enhance your knowledge and skills to stay relevant and aware of changing trends in the commercial sector, preparing for additional responsibilities and future roles within WHR.
Complexity
- The Regional Sales Manager will drive significant revenue into the WHR portfolio, focusing on an agreed territory.
- They will be solely responsible for managing accounts within their territory.
- The position is mainly remote, with minimal supervision, responsible for new and existing accounts.
Scope / Financial Responsibility
- Manage a portfolio of accounts and develop new business within the territory.
- Have an annual revenue goal and participate in a sales incentive plan.
- Manage expenses and ROI for business trips, marketing, and other spends, submitting monthly expense reports.

Experience / Certificates / Education
- College/University Degree or equivalent, preferably in hospitality or a related field.
- Significant experience in hotel sales (property, national, or global).
- Multi-segment knowledge preferred.
- Full local driving license preferred.
- Fluency in English required; additional European language (Spanish) advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality sales systems.
