The Regional Sales Manager manages the overall customer sales and channel activities in Spain to achieve revenue growth and profit objectives.
The Regional Sales Manager – Spain will work within the European sales organization. The company operates within the building services, District heating & cooling, Fire, Data Centre, Pharmaceutical and other sectors, with a strong emphasis on fluid-based capital equipment and solutions sales. This role requires a strong focus on large commercial and industrial applications with a sales process underpinned by energy saving and energy retrofit. In addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are:
Business Development
- Business development activities
- Develops channels to ensure market penetration, segment growth, customer support, project winning, and new customer acquisition to achieve sales objectives.
- Visits clients and engages in the design process to obtain specifications in large commercial and industrial projects.
- Responsible for Project Direct engagement.
- Provides complete service to establish distributor/Reps network including quotations, product training, technical and literacy support.
- Identifies significant bid opportunities and provides complete project information, including price strategy.
- Establishes sales goals and specification objectives to meet company sales.
- Provides regional leadership and representation of Armstrong
- Interacts effectively with internal and external stakeholders and constituents.
- Expansion of representative network and wholesalers.
- Performs product training for end users, consultants, contractors, and reps to promote ARMSTRONG new and existing product/solution lines and develop favorable specification position.
- Interacts with the Company marketing department to develop commercial initiatives and actively participates in trade show organizations.
- Reporting
- Participates in monthly performance reviews as defined in the annual business plan and channel playbooks.
- Edits visit reports and feeds back market trends and evolutions.
- Maintains customer and competitor information.
Role Requirements
- Minimum 10 years design, sales or service experience in HVAC System knowledge is essential.
- University degree or college diploma in mechanical engineering would be ideal.
- A commercial professional with strong experience in the pump industry, commercial building sector, and good all-round knowledge of industry dynamics will be looked upon.
- Value & Solution Selling is a mandatory skill.
- CRM knowledge and utilization is mandatory.
- Self-directed with ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Ability to communicate in an open and authentic manner in all situations.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Language fluency in Spanish, Catalan, and English, written and spoken, is a requirement.
- French, Portuguese, or Italian will be a plus.
- PC skills are essential, primarily Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Based in Barcelona or Madrid Area.
