Job Description

The Regional Sales Excellence and Training Lead – EMEAC plays a strategic role in bridging global sales excellence strategies with local market execution. This individual contributor is responsible for equipping local markets with the necessary resources, frameworks, and best practices to drive sales force effectiveness and training initiatives. Rather than direct execution, this role focuses on developing scalable sales training strategies, sales performance frameworks, and guidance that enable market-level teams to implement and execute effectively. The role collaborates closely with regional and local sales leaders, ensuring alignment with business objectives while fostering a culture of continuous sales improvement.

A key responsibility is managing a diverse range of stakeholders, from senior market leadership teams to global commercial and training functions, ensuring seamless two-way communication. The ideal candidate has both market-level and regional experience, with the seniority and credibility to engage in high-level discussions, influencing decision-making while aligning regional strategies with market realities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Strategic Influence: Act as the primary point of contact between Global and EMEAC markets, ensuring a structured two-way communication flow. Engage with senior market leadership teams to understand local business needs and ensure training and sales effectiveness frameworks are relevant and adaptable. Influence global stakeholders, advocating for market-specific requirements to ensure regional priorities are reflected in global strategies. Build strong, trust-based relationships with commercial, sales, and training leaders across multiple countries, driving alignment and execution. Prepare and present strategic recommendations, insights, and reports to senior leadership, translating data and feedback into actionable improvements.
  • Sales Training & Enablement Frameworks: Develop and provide scalable training frameworks, methodologies, and toolkits that local markets can adapt and execute independently. Deliver train-the-trainer programs, ensuring local sales enablement teams are equipped to roll out training effectively. Establish guidelines for sales onboarding, product training, and advanced sales skills development, aligned with global standards and market needs.
  • Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) & Performance Optimization: Provide Market support in the implementation of sales performance frameworks, including customer segmentation, targeting, and sales planning, to help markets optimize execution. Define key sales metrics and tracking methodologies, ensuring markets have clear KPIs to measure training impact and commercial performance. Partner with local teams to identify sales capability gaps, providing structured solutions and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Coaching, Support & Continuous Improvement: Provide ongoing coaching and support to local training leads and sales managers, enabling them to drive execution. Lead process improvement initiatives that enhance the scalability and effectiveness of sales excellence efforts. Track the adoption and success of provided frameworks, using data-driven insights to refine strategies. Mentor junior team members or external consultants supporting sales excellence projects.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8–12 years in sales training, sales force effectiveness, or commercial excellence within a multinational organization, including pharmaceutical companies
  • Strong expertise in building training frameworks and scalable sales effectiveness strategies for market-level execution.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to drive sales performance improvements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus
