We are seeking a Regional Sales Director with a strong background in clinical diagnostic and reproductive genetics & assisted reproductionto lead our commercial strategy across Spain and Portugal. This leadership role is critical in accelerating the adoption of cutting-edge genetic technologies within fertility clinics and laboratories through the development of strategic relationships with key industry stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Execution
- Design and implement tailored sales strategies for the Iberian market.
- Drive the adoption of advanced genetic solutions (e.g., PGT, genetic screening, carrier testing, WES, NIPT) across fertility clinics, hospitals, and laboratories.
- Identify business opportunities and niche markets, collaborating closely with the marketing team to effectively position our product portfolio.
Team Leadership & Management- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of clinical sales specialists with deep sector expertise.
- Set ambitious yet realistic sales targets for the team and ensure consistent performance tracking.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, commercial excellence, and customer-centricity.
Strategic Client Engagement- Build and sustain strong relationships with medical directors, embryologists, geneticists, and procurement leaders.
- Lead complex negotiations, including framework agreements and tenders.
- Ensure an outstanding client experience from initial engagement through to service implementation.
Market Intelligence- Monitor scientific, regulatory, and technological trends within reproductive genetics.
- Analyze competitor activities and gather key market insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Actively participate in industry congresses, specialized trade shows, and professional networks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration- Work closely with medical marketing, operations, regulatory affairs, and technical support teams.
- Ensure effective knowledge transfer from the commercial team to scientific support and post-sales teams.
- Coordinate with regional EMEA leadership to align on broader commercial strategies.
Reporting & Forecasting- Prepare regular commercial reports, including performance analysis, sales forecasts, and pipeline development.
- Present results to senior management and contribute to the region’s strategic planning process.
Professional Experience- Minimum of 5 years in commercial roles and direct experience in genetics, IVF, or molecular diagnostics.
- Proven track record of leading sales teams and achieving sustainable business growth.
- Deep understanding of the reproductive health ecosystem in the Iberian Peninsula, including private clinics, laboratories, and professional associations.

- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strategic business acumen with strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms and commercial analytics tools.
Educational Background- University degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Genetics, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MBA or equivalent) in business or healthcare management are a strong asset.
Languages- Fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese is highly desirable.
Mobility- Willingness to travel regularly across Spain and Portugal, and occasionally to international meetings or European conferences.
