AWS is seeking a Regional Safety Engineer to own the Health and Safety function for our data-center region in Spain. You will lead safety programs, conduct audits, and partner with operations, security, and legal teams to mitigate risks and improve safety culture.

This onsite role requires strong communication, English fluency, and the ability to travel internationally as needed. You will work with data center engineers, contractors, and regional teams to implement safety standards, training,

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent.
• Experience handling confidential information.
• Spanish Master degree in Health and Safety.

Responsabilidades

• Support implementation of health and safety standards, policies and practices including safety management systems, training, risk assessments, assist with industrial hygiene assessments, and applicable safety regulations.
• Conduct health and safety audits of all Data Centers to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements as well as life safety requirements.
• Ensure compliance and implementation of global health and safety programs that exceed regulatory requirements.
• Develop health and safety plans for on-site emergencies, business continuity, and other unique events.
• Maintain safety record keeping and data integrity.
• Perform data trend reviews to present to cluster leadership to support business and safety initiatives.
• Consult and partner with the AWS H&S Program team and legal teams for interpretations and guidance.
• Identify risks and partner with Operations to mitigate them.
• Daily interactions with our customers delivering health and safety guidance.
