Job summary

Otis Elevator Company in Madrid is seeking a Sr Mgr, Regional Controller IBAME to drive financial integrity, governance, and internal control excellence across the Operating Unit. You will own the SOX framework and lead audit readiness.

The role requires 8–10 years in accounting/finance, strong US GAAP knowledge, English proficiency, and the ability to partner with Finance and business leaders. Travel is about 10% and the position is hybrid in Madrid.

Qualifications

• Economics or Business master degree required, MBA or Master of Accounting preferred.
• Full professional proficiency in English. French and/or Arabic is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and background in auditing, financial control, accounting, analysis and reporting.
• Minimum 8-10 years of total accounting/finance professional experience.
• Pace, autonomy, strong organization and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Drive financial integrity, governance, and internal control excellence across the Operating Unit.
• Own the SOX framework for the Operating Area, including scoping, risk assessment, testing, self-assessments, 302 certification, and issue remediation tracking and validation.
• Lead the execution of the internal audit plan across branches and subsidiaries, coordinating with Internal Audit and local teams to ensure audit readiness.
• Support and participate in ethics investigations with financial or control implications.
• Represent Controls in oversight of major contract review.
• Travel approximately 10% of the time.
