Otis Elevator Co. is seeking an experienced Sr Mgr, Regional Controller IBAME to drive financial integrity, governance, and internal control excellence across the operating unit in Madrid.

The role leads SOX compliance, audit readiness, and risk management while partnering with finance and business leaders to strengthen the control environment. Travel about 10% is expected, and English proficiency is required.

Qualifikationen

• Economics or Business master degree required.
• MBA or Master of Accounting preferred.
• Full professional proficiency in English; French and/or Arabic desirable.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Minimum 8–10 years of total accounting/finance experience.
• Pace, autonomy, strong organization and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively.

Aufgaben

• Own the SOX framework for the Operating Area, including scoping, risk assessment, testing, self-assessments, 302 certification, and issue remediation tracking.
• Lead the internal audit plan across branches and subsidiaries, coordinating with Internal Audit and local teams for audit readiness.
• Support ethics investigations with financial or control implications.
• Ensure financial integrity including balance sheet review, US GAAP compliance, reconciliations, and review of significant judgments.
• Represent controls in major contract reviews and support Statutory-to-GAAP analyses.
• Strengthen governance processes including SGD, UAR, and workflow controls; manage intercompany disputes and regional/global requirements.
• Partner with Finance and Business leaders, advising on controls and governance; coach the controls team; travel ~10%.
