Receptionist

A Receptionist provides reception services for Guests to contribute to an overall exceptional experience from check-in through check-out and completes audits, as required.

What will I be doing?

As a Receptionist, you will:

  • Achieve positive outcomes from Guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure an efficient reception experience for Guests, including check-in/check-out, and complete audit procedures, as required.
  • Keep the Front Office Manager and Reception Supervisors fully informed of relevant guest feedback and departmental updates.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Attend training courses when required and assist with Night Team's training and development.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of hotel room categories, rates, packages, and promotions.
  • Maximize room occupancy and promote hotel services using up-selling techniques.
  • Follow correct procedures for accepting foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash, in accordance with hotel policies.
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and health and safety legislation.
  • Operate front of house equipment and property management systems according to policies and procedures.
  • Follow company brand standards.
  • Assist other departments as necessary.
What are we looking for?

Successful candidates should:

  • Have previous experience in a customer-focused industry.
  • Hold a high school certificate or equivalent.
  • Possess a positive attitude and good communication skills.
  • Be committed to delivering high customer service standards.
  • Maintain excellent grooming standards.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Have competent IT skills.

It would be advantageous to have experience in cash handling.
