**Job Description Summary**:The Reactive Systems Safety Manager Europe and APAC will drive safety culture and associated engineering design requirements, processes, and methods that ensure personnel and environmental safety for Onshore Wind products. The Reactive Systems Safety Manager Europe and APAC will manage a team of Reactive Quantitative Risk Modelers and Reactive Product Safety Engineers in Europe and APAC which is responsible for conducting safety assessments throughout the product lifecycle per REQMS 7.3.8.**Essential Responsibilities**:- Manage and support the Reactive Systems Safety Europe and APAC team in their responsibility to:- Perform reactive quantitative risk modelling on complex systems to assess design safety risk- Identify and assess reactive risk mitigation measures- Drive resolution of reactive safety critical items by documenting investigation details and working with cross-functional teams to ensure completion of actions items.- Act as a focal point for Europe and APAC reactive product safety issues, manage communication to executive segment management, and compile and track safety metrics.- Facilitate Containment, Root Cause, Corrective / Preventative Action identification and Corrective / Preventative Action Implementation for product safety concerns by working with cross-functional teams representing Fleet Support Engineering, Design Engineering, Regional Fleet Reliability Operations, EHS, Legal, Supplier Quality, Sourcing, and Chief Engineers Office.- Support the cross-functional Safety Program Management Teams across the business components to actively drive the execution of the GE Renewable Energy Product Safety process.Contribute to the continuous improvement of Product Safety methods and processes- Maintain and support Product Safety design practices, procedures, tools, and metrics.**Qualifications/Requirements**- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or related discipline- **Desired Characteristics**- Advanced degree from an accredited university or college in an Engineering or related discipline- Experience with product safety methods, processes, and tools including Reliasoft Blocksim- Safety oriented mindset- Wind turbine industry experience- Demonstrated team building, management, influencing, and interpersonal skills- Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts or systems on all levels of the organization.**Additional Information**:**Relocation Assistance Provided**:Yes
