Role Summary: Providing technical support to Field Engineers for all on-the-day activities related to Ericsson Nodes 2G/3G/4G/5G integrations of new BB and upgrades of existing sites.
Ensuring the quality of completed activities meets expected standards, including calls/post-performance checks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform remote configuration expansions and new site integrations for 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G Ericsson sites.
- Generate and validate scripts for integration.
- Experience with Ericsson BB6630 / BB6648 / RP6631 / RP6651 integration and troubleshooting.
- Configure RUs/RRUs/air radios.
- Experience with DUW / DUG / DUS / DUL.
- Handle swap activities, carrier addition, sector addition, technology addition, and site modernization.
- Configure mixed mode radios, GPS, ENDC.
- Ensure communication and synchronization between back-office and field teams; assist in troubleshooting installation/integration issues.
- Configure external alarms, RET, neighbor lists.
- Coordinate with field engineers for integration and troubleshooting, support external alarms, acceptance tests, RET troubleshooting, and call tests.
- Configure cell parameters in BSC/RNC.
- Manage software and license upgrades via ENM.
- Perform configuration, performance, and fault management.
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to resolve TXN and RF issues.
- Collaborate with planning and design teams to resolve design-related issues.
- Utilize tools & systems such as Ericsson ENM, Winfiol/Secure CRT, WinSCP, Putty.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in telecommunications engineering, with supervisory/managerial knowledge.
- Graduation in Telecommunications/Electronics.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking); French is a plus.
