Manning Global is seeking an experienced RAN Engineer to support mobile network operations and NOC activities for a leading international telecommunications client in Spain.

This role requires hands-on expertise in 2G, 3G, 4G LTE and 5G RAN, incident management, fault diagnostics, and performance monitoring in carrier-grade environments; Nokia and Ericsson experience is essential.

The position offers a fully remote work option from Madrid with competitive compensation.

Formación

  • More than 10 years of experience in telecommunications network operations or NOC environments.
  • Strong expertise in 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and 5G Radio Access Network technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Nokia radio equipment and controllers including BSC and RNC platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Ericsson radio equipment and associated network management systems.
  • Proven experience providing N1 Technical Support within mobile network operations.
  • Strong background in incident management, fault diagnosis, and customer complaint handling.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide N1 operational support for 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and 5G RAN networks.
  • Monitor network performance and manage operational incidents within a Network Operations Center environment.
  • Perform fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for radio network issues.
  • Handle customer- reported incidents and ensure timely resolution according to operational procedures.
  • Execute BTPs and operational activities in accordance with network support guidelines.
  • Analyze recurring network problems and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support radio network performance management and service quality improvement initiatives.
  • Manage and coordinate incident escalations with internal teams and equipment vendors.
  • Utilize network monitoring and performance analysis tools to identify service degradations.
  • Maintain operational documentation, reports, and incident records.
  • Support NOC team activities, quality assurance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure network stability, availability, and customer satisfaction.

Detailed Job Description

As a RAN Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational stability and performance of large-scale mobile access networks while supporting critical NOC functions. You will provide advanced technical support for radio network incidents, conduct detailed network diagnostics, analyze recurring performance issues, and implement corrective actions to improve service quality. Working closely with customers, operations teams, and vendor support organizations, you will play a key role in maintaining network availability and achieving operational excellence. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Nokia and Ericsson radio solutions, mobile network management systems, and telecom performance monitoring platforms. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide N1 operational support for 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and 5G RAN networks.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • More than 10 years of experience in telecommunications network operations or NOC environments.
  • Strong expertise in 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and 5G Radio Access Network technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Nokia radio equipment and controllers including BSC and RNC platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Ericsson radio equipment and associated network management systems.
  • Proven experience providing N1 Technical Support within mobile network operations.
  • Strong background in incident management, fault diagnosis, and customer complaint handling.
  • Experience executing BTP procedures and operational support activities.
  • Ability to identify recurring network issues and implement long-term corrective solutions.
  • Experience leading or supporting NOC team management and quality analysis activities.
  • Solid understanding of Telefónica mobile RAN support processes and operational environments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of RAN protocols, radio network architecture, and mobile network operations.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities within telecom environments.
  • Hands-on experience with iGRI, OMEGA, INFOVISTA, GRAFANA, and CEX platforms.
  • Experience using vendor-specific Network Element Management Systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Fluent Spanish language skills are mandatory.
  • English language proficiency is highly desirable.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience supporting multi- vendor RAN environments.
  • Knowledge of 5G Standalone (SA) network architectures.
  • Experience with mobile network performance optimization and KPI analysis.
  • Knowledge of automation tools and telecom operational process improvement.
  • Previous experience supporting large-scale Tier-1 mobile operators.
