The i2CAT Foundation, a leading research and innovation center in Catalonia specializing in advanced Internet technologies, is seeking highly motivated and talented postdoctoral researchers to join our team through the prestigious Ramón y Cajal program.

About i2CAT :

We are a non-profit foundation driving cutting-edge research and innovation in areas such as 5G / 6G networks, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, space communications and the Internet of Things. We collaborate with leading academic institutions, industry partners, and public administrations to develop and deploy transformative technologies with a positive societal impact.

Research Areas :

We welcome applications from researchers with expertise in the following areas :

• Next-Generation Networks : 5G / 6G, network virtualization, software-defined networking, edge computing
• Cybersecurity : Network security, data privacy, cryptography, threat intelligence
• Artificial Intelligence : Machine learning, deep learning, AI for networking, AI ethics
• Space : Satellite communications, space networks, delay-tolerant networking, interplanetary internet
• Media : immersive experiences, XR, VR, human computer interaction
• Internet of Things : IoT architectures, sensor networks, data analytics, smart cities

Eligibility Criteria :

• PhD Degree : Applicants must have obtained a PhD degree between January 1st, 2014, and December 31st, 2022.
• Research Excellence : A strong research track record, demonstrated through publications, conference presentations, and other research outputs.
• Language Proficiency : Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Spanish or Catalan is an asset.
