AECOM's Infrastructure Team is looking to hire a Railway Civil Engineer to join our Madrid office. We are working on stages as early as feasibility studies up to detailed designs on a wide range of projects, either as standalone civil infrastructures team or as part of multidisciplinary teams. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most important Civil projects in Europe and Spain.

The ideal candidate for us must be interested in developing her/his professional career in the infrastructure design environment, participating in rail projects.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Builds analytic and design skills.
  • Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering.
  • English and Spanish languages fluent (both oral and written).
  • Proven track record of working in civil projects, ideally 1-2 years.
  • Knowledge of Autocad Civil3D or any other geometric design software will be a must.
