Job summary

General Mills in Navarra, Spain, seeks an R&D Technician I to support bench development and commercialization of innovation and renovation projects for international Snacks & Meals. You will contribute hands-on in the pilot plant, help maintain GMPs, 5S, and safety standards, and perform related admin tasks.

You will collaborate with suppliers to improve ingredients, document specifications, and assist in line trials and startup activities, with travel as needed to the workplace.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in food industry.
• High bias for action and ability to execute tasks with speed and accuracy.
• Strong team collaboration skills, flexibility and agility.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and fast changing priorities.
• Fluent in English.
• Own vehicle and availability to travel to the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Support the team to develop bench product prototypes of new and improved products in the pilot plant.
• Enable the commercialization of new products by supporting the execution of line trials and start‑up of new products and new lines.
• Collaborate with ingredient suppliers to improve ingredient quality, define ingredient specs and alignment on analytical methods for characterization
• Build ingredients and finished product specs and document them in the specifications systems.
• Support the team in the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the pilot plant GMPs, 5S methodology and Food and People safety policies.
• Conduct administrative tasks to enable smooth team operation: Documentation support: invoices, PO management, shipments, customs procedures…
