R&D Project Manager

Are you an experienced R&D Project Manager ready to make an impact on the future of automotive technology? Our client, an innovator in advanced optical networking solutions, is looking for a seasoned Project Manager to lead the development of their next-generation optical multi-gigabit automotive transceivers. Based in Spain, you’ll play a critical role in driving projects to success, collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring seamless execution aligned with public grant commitments.

• Establish comprehensive project plans to support scope, goals, and deliverables while maintaining critical project documentation, including spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps.
• Oversee project budgets, schedule timelines, and track deliverables to ensure timely, within-budget results.
• Liaise closely with R&D team leaders, project teams, and external assembly fabs to support prototype, qualification, and production phases.
• Present regular project status reports and monitor progress, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Coordinate with universities, research centres, and partner companies for collaboration agreements. Manage audits and compliance with external entities, supporting IP documentation and patent-related communications.
• Engage with industry conferences and publications to drive R&D dissemination, positioning the company as a leader in optical network solutions.

• Must have experience with Electronic, Optical or Semiconductor Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years in SW/HW development project management with a strong grasp of complex project requirements.
• Exceptional English skills for effective communication and documentation.
• Familiarity with version control and issue-tracking software is a plus.
