Hitachi Energy is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to drive the design of advanced power converters for energy storage and grid projects. You will work on the full development lifecycle, from requirements through validation, in a multidisciplinary team focused on reliable energy transition technologies.

You will analyze requirements, simulate, prototype, and validate hardware and software, contributing to cutting-edge power conversion systems and control strategies.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Experience with electrical system design and power electronic converters.
• Experience with converter simulation tools such as PSCAD, DIgSILENT, or SPICE.
• Knowledge of power electronics hardware design including semiconductors and cooling.
• Experience developing and implementing control systems for power converters.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

In this role, you will be involved in the complete product development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and simulation to hardware design, prototyping, validation, and industrialization. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment alongside experts in power electronics, control systems, software, testing, and product development. Your Background

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Experience in electrical system design and power electronic converters.
• Experience with converter simulation tools such as PSCAD, DIgSILENT, or SPICE.
• Experience evaluating power converter topologies and semiconductor technologies based on technical requirements.
• Knowledge of power electronics hardware design, including semiconductors, capacitors, magnetic components, protections, and cooling systems.
• Experience developing and implementing control systems for power converters.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
