Hitachi Energy is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to drive the design of advanced power converters for energy storage and grid projects. You will work on the full development lifecycle, from requirements through validation, in a multidisciplinary team focused on reliable energy transition technologies.

You will analyze requirements, simulate, prototype, and validate hardware and software, contributing to cutting-edge power conversion systems and control strategies.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Experience with electrical system design and power electronic converters.
• Experience with converter simulation tools such as PSCAD, DIgSILENT, or SPICE.
• Knowledge of power electronics hardware design including semiconductors and cooling.
• Experience developing and implementing control systems for power converters.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design power converters from concept through product realization.
• Analyze requirements and define system architectures.
• Develop and run converter simulations using industry tools.
• Design power stages, protection, cooling, and filtering.
• Develop and implement control strategies for power conversion systems.
• Build prototypes and perform proof-of-concept activities.
• Commission power conversion and energy storage systems in labs.
• Perform validation for hardware, software, and integrated systems.
• Prepare technical reports and engineering procedures.
• Support qualification, certification, and project management.
