As the successful candidate for this software development manager position, you will join an existing team in a key position working on developing software platforms and product technologies.

You will have a broad range of software development and management knowledge, including managing both onshore and offshore software engineering teams. The team you will be leading includes offshore developers in India, as well as US & European based developers.

Strong communication and teamwork with cross-functional, globally distributed teams—including product marketing, product support, quality, and service delivery channels—will be key to success in this position.

You should have established your people management, leadership, and technical skills. This is your chance to utilize these skills for creating several exciting new software products.

Responsibilities:

• Leads/manages people and team operations.
• Applies understanding of subordinate teams’ specialized areas to define roles, responsibilities, and resource requirements.
• Ensures that design and implementation of policies, processes, and projects align with the tactical business plan.
• Resolves technical and operational challenges within the department with autonomy.
• Resolves conflicting priorities; guides subordinates on complex challenges and assignments.
• Manages resources to implement business plans and projects.
• Develops operational plans, manages budgets, schedules, and performance standards to meet organizational goals.
• Collaborates internally and externally on organizational matters.
• Leads projects or initiatives impacting own team and beyond.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar discipline, or equivalent.
• 2+ years leading design teams in successful software product development.
• 10+ years minimum experience in a technical role.
• Experience managing and designing cloud-based development within an AWS environment.
• Experience with Microsoft .NET and C#.
• Leadership experience with Agile, Waterfall, and other lifecycle processes.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.

Additional Details:

This is a full-time position with the option for remote work. Applications are accepted until at least April 21, 2025, or until the position is filled. The pay range is $143,000 - $269,000, plus bonuses, stock options, and benefits, depending on role, level, and location.
