Formación

• Experiencia en proyectos de I+D o investigación universitaria de más de 3 años.
• Conocimientos en software de modelado CAD y simulaciones numéricas avanzadas.

Responsabilidades

• Proponer y desarrollar nuevas tecnologías y productos para transformadores.
• Liderar y gestionar proyectos de I+D cumpliendo plazos y presupuestos.

General Information

As R&D Engineer, you will join the Technology Center South Europe, part of the global Technology organization of Business Unit Transformer. As a member of our R&D team located in Cordoba (Spain), you will contribute to the execution of projects involving diverse simulation types in power transformers (thermal, mechanical…).

Your Responsibilities

1. Propose and develop new technologies, products, and processes for both core and shell type transformers.
2. Lead and manage R&D projects self-driven on time, on budget, and with the required quality following Hitachi Energy internal standards and processes.
3. Maintain existing and develop new technical standards and design tools for transformers.
4. Transfer your knowledge and findings by elaborating reports, specifications and/or participating in educational programs.
5. Assess production processes and proactively identify gaps and areas of improvement.
6. Support factories troubleshooting in your domain of expertise.
7. Develop, manage and expand relationships with stakeholders, internal functions, Corporate Research Centers and external relevant parties (e.g. customers, universities). Providing proposals for possible partnerships.

Your Background:

1. We are looking for a MS or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
2. More than 3 years of experience, either in R&D projects, engineering or University research.
3. Knowledge in CAD modelling software (CREO, Solidworks, Solidedge).
4. Experience with advanced numerical simulations (e.g. fluid dynamics, mechanical simulations), proficiency in use of commercial simulations tools (e.g. Ansys, Fluents, CREO) and implementation of own solutions shall be well valued.
5. Knowledge in 3D printing techniques.
6. Excellent abilities in teamwork in international teams with excellent interpersonal skills.
7. A structured, problem-solving, self-driven, solutions-oriented approach.
8. Strong communication skills.
9. Spirit of innovation, out of the box thinking.
10. Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish.
