GMV Spain in Madrid is expanding its defense and security team, looking for an R&D Engineer to work on cutting-edge projects across Europe, applying AI, IoT, edge computing, and simulation.

You will join multidisciplinary teams, contribute to European consortia, and help technology transfer from research to real-world defense systems, with a hybrid work model and opportunities for relocation.

Formación

• Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of software, distributed systems, communications or networks.
• Interest in defence and security technologies.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

In our team, you will contribute to highly demanding R&D projects in the defence and security sectors, researching and applying emerging technologies such as AI, autonomous systems, edge computing, IoT, C2 systems and simulation to address real-world needs.

You will join international projects focused on advanced defence systems, working with multidisciplinary teams, participating in European consortia and collaborating with government organisations to tackle complex technological challenges

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for an R&D Engineer with a strong interest in advanced technologies and their application in the defence and security sectors.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, such as Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of software, distributed systems, communications, networks or related areas.
• Interest in applied research and defence and security technologies.
• Analytical skills, initiative and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have:

• Previous experience in R&D projects or in the defence, security, aeronautics, space or critical infrastructure sectors.
• Knowledge of areas such as C2 systems, IoT/IoMT, edge computing, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems or simulation.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
