INNERSPEC TECHNOLOGIES, INC. is seeking an international R&D Engineer for our European office in Loeches (Madrid) to drive development of new NDT solutions.

You will lead and support project tasks, including laboratory work with NDT equipment and collaboration with partners across borders. The role involves presenting results at events, developing ideas for market-ready improvements, and participating in real bid applications for government and Horizon Europe projects.

We are selecting an international R&D Engineer for our European office in Loeches (Madrid) to lead and support the development of new NDT solutions. Related experience would be a plus, but it is not a requirement for the position.

Main activities and responsibilities:

• Manage technical project developments, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time.
• Lead all technical tasks in the running projects, including lab work with NDT equipment.
• Communicate effectively with technical staff and industrial or scientific partners to gather information for new research ideas with market potential.
• Present results internally and at external events.
• Analyze competing technical solutions to formulate a compelling thesis for potential improvements and/or new products/functionalities development.
• Participate in the development of full bid applications for collaborative R&D projects co-financed by government funding agencies, both national (CDTI, MINECO) and international (Horizon Europe, Eurostars and many others).

Candidate profile:

• Good English written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to convey ideas effectively.
• Technical background.
• Experience in NDT or signal processing would be a plus, but not a must.
• Proactive problem solver and self-driven.
• Willing to develop himself/herself in a state-of-the-art company, in a dynamic international environment.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally occasionally to project-related events or to visit end-customers or research centers.
