The successful candidate will work on the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) as part of the Low Energy Neutrinos in DUNE (CNS2023-144183) project.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in particle physics, with a focus on the operation and data analysis of ProtoDUNE and physics sensitivity studies for the DUNE far detector.

Designation : Postdoctoral Researcher

Research Area : Experimental Neutrino Physics, focusing on the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) and related studies in low energy neutrinos.

Location : CIEMAT, Madrid, Spain

Minimum Requirements : Experience with neutrino detectors or low-background underground physics is highly desirable.

Job Description : The selected postdoctoral researcher will be an integral part of the CIEMAT Neutrino Group, which has extensive experience in reactor neutrino experiments and is actively involved in the DUNE and SBND experiments at Fermilab, as well as the ProtoDUNE program at the CERN Neutrino Platform.

The group is responsible for the photon detection system, including characterization, installation, operation of photo-sensors, data analysis, and simulations.

The researcher will work primarily on :

• Operation and data analysis of ProtoDUNE.
• Physics sensitivity studies for the DUNE far detector.
• Contributing to the study of solar and supernova neutrinos within the DUNE project.
